Tourism Promotion

Anand @ The Satluj

One of Punjab’s premier eco friendly luxury destinations Anand @ The Satluj has been constructed using natural indigenous materials sourced locally. The retreat also boasts of an organic vegetable garden and meals are prepared using fresh vegetables from this garden. Sri Anandpur Sahib Museum Initiative

In addition to the Virasat–e-khalsa which encapsulates the history of the Sikhs over 500yrs, the foundation feels that a museum highlighting the rich history of Sri Anandpur Sahib needs to be developed for future generations reflecting the grandeur and significance of the holy town.

The museum will showcase the historical evolution of the town, its guru period relics, contributions of Sikh Arts from major private collections and galleries, traditional artifacts, arts, paintings, textiles, traditional skills, everyday items of that period in Sri Anandpur Sahib. To be housed in a new contemporary landmark building inspired by Sikh architecture to reflect the grandeur of golden era of the Sikh arts. Acquisition of land at a historic site in Sri Anandpur Sahib and Conceptual Architectural Design work is currently under development.

Development of Sports Infrastructure Initiative

It is felt by the foundation that the traditional sports including martial arts and the love of horses inculcated by the Guru’s in the Sikh psyche needs to be encouraged. We plan to do so by setting up Sporting Tournaments and Sports infrastructure in Sri Anandpur Sahib to facilitate and encourage the development of traditional sports, horsemanship & martial arts, thus, inculcating a sporting culture amongst the youth of Punjab.

Development of Assisted Living Facilities Initiative

It is felt by the foundation that the spiritual atmosphere of the Holy town of Sri Anandpur Sahib can be utilized to set up assisted living facilities for the old & ageing, with a view to provide comfort in a spiritual environment. These facilities would include housing, apartments, medical facilities, recreational facilities etc on the lines of assisted living facilities meeting global standards.

Preservation and Conservation of Historical Buildings Initiative

Most of the buildings of historical significance in Sri Anandpur Sahib have fallen into decay and disrepair. The Foundation has undertaken certain initiatives to impart knowledge & spearhead conservation of historic structures & buildings that showcase the grandeur & rich heritage of Sri Anandpur Sahib from the times of the Gurus.
